A vintage Ampex Model 960 stereophonic reel-to-reel tube tape recorder circa 1959. These were manufactured by Ampex Audio, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California. This unit is built into its original portable gray suitcase-style enclosure and has built-in tube preamplifiers, dual speed playback, and dual recording volume level meters. Serial #: 1761. Dimensions: 9" H x 17" W x 15" D.

Condition
Good, visible wear consistent with average use. The lights inside the recorder turned on when plugged in, but we can't guarantee full functionality. The radio/phono dial is missing its outer metal cap. The "lid" of the suitcase is loose and falls off easily when opened. See photos for more condition details.
Available payment options
Item pickup is Thursday, June 25th from 2 30pm to 6pm in Olathe, KS 66062. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
