Ethnographic bone armor vest constructed of finely woven fiber, wood, and bone. The vest features a woven base with wood and bone plates attached. A horn with string is included, presumably was attached to the vest at one time. Horn does not appear like it would work properly as the hole on one side is very small. Vest is attributed to the Toraja warriors in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Dimensions: 30” H x 18” W x 5” D.
Condition
Good, visible wear consistent with average use. One “button” isn’t attached on the front and some loose threads throughout. See photos for more condition details.
Available payment options
Item pickup is Wednesday, January 7th from 3pm to 6pm in Shawnee, KS 66203. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
