"Summer Solstice" is made from stained glass and ceramic scraps in amber, pink, and green tones on a wooden panel, celebrating the warmth and vitality of summer. As the longest day of the year, it welcomes a time of new beginnings, abundant light, and verdant growth.

The artist generously donated this piece. Through engaging with two of the most foundational materials of our natural world, glass and clay, Sarah creates mosaic and stained glass art, using her hands to shape, form, rearrange, and reimagine broken materials into new narratives. In her art-making practice, Sarah works through the emotions of wholehearted living, creating physical representations of her gratitude, doubts, questions, fears, and joys.
