Pair of antique hand-carved wooden Santos figures, likely Philippine or Spanish colonial, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The first figure, identified by an inscription on the base as San Vicente Ferrer, shows the saint in his Dominican robes, holding a symbolic gesture of blessing. The second depicts the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child, adorned with hand-painted floral decoration on her robe.
Both figures retain traces of their original polychrome paint and exhibit beautiful patina. Dimensions: 11.5" H.
Both figures exhibit surface wear consistent with devotional use and great age. One missing wing. See photos for more details.
