This pair of antique table lamps features a classic urn-shaped porcelain body hand-painted with an 18th-century courtship scene. The scene, framed with gilt embellishments, depicts a finely dressed couple in a pastoral setting, typical of French Rococo revival styling. The porcelain body is finished in a deep rose pink with ornate gilt and enamel decoration, supported by a brass and onyx base with pierced filigree metalwork. The lamps retain their original double socket cluster with pull chains and a turned brass finial at the top. Dimensions: 27" H x 5" square.
Condition
Tested. Fair with signs of wear. The porcelain and brass components are in very good condition. One lamp is in working order and needs to be tightened. There is a small repair on the onyx edge. The other lamp needs to be tightened, one pull chain doesn’t work and the top finial is missing. See photos for more details.
Available payment options
Item pickup is Thursday, July 24th from 3pm-7pm in Kansas City, MO. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
