"Les Pommes" is French for apples. Going by "Ethelinda" professionally, Robbins is a graduate of the University of the Pacific in California. During her worldly travels, she visited the American Southwest, which inspired her to focus on indigenous portraiture. She started a series of fruit-based still lifes in the late 90s. Robbins remains an active, contemporary artist.
