Warm sepia-toned lithograph by renowned American artist Edna Hibel, depicting a tender mother and child rendered with expressive, fluid linework. Hand-signed by the artist in pencil in lower right and numbered II 60/75, indicating the second state of this limited edition series. Presented in carved gilt and black frame with linen mat. Dimensions: 30” x 23.5”.
Edna Hibel (American, 1917-2014) was a prolific American painter and lithographer known for her luminous portrayals of women, children, and family bonds. Her work combines impressionistic color with classical sensitivity, drawing influence from motherhood themes and international cultures. Her works have been exhibited worldwide, including the Smithsonian Institution, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and numerous international embassies.
Condition
Excellent with minimal signs of wear. Minor mat toning consistent with age. See photos for more details.

Item pickup is Wednesday, November 5th from 3 - 7pm in Overland Park, KS. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time.
