Lobby cards were early marketing materials used to advertise films. This collection includes seven framed lobby cards from the following movies: "The Palace of Darkened Windows", "Shades of Shakespeare", "Just A Wife, Marooned Hearts", "The Green Flame", "Down on the Farm", and "Opened Shutters". Because there are no known copies of "Marooned Hearts," it is considered a lost film. 75% of all silent films are lost due to intentional destruction of the film reels after a movie's release, retaping of the reels, or the volatile, flammable composition of nitrate film. Item pickup is Friday, June 26th from 12pm to 6pm in Leawood, KS 66209. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
