Certificate of appraisal states: “Fine example of 18th century English clock making. This solid Cuban mahogany case tall clock by noted clockmaker John Pope of London (Ca 1785-1795) has high quality 8 day brass movement attached to a brass and silvered dial with matted dial center, square date box, and with clockmakers name boss in the arch. The broken arch bonnet has carved rosettes, two brass finials and both full and quarter turned columns. The case has an applied bracket base. This tall clock was purchased from descendants of the Franklin Pierce Family of Waltham, Massachusetts.
2006 estimated replacement value $14,500 from Lotz's Antiques in St. Louis.

Very good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age. Owner states the clock works well. Very minor scratches and cracks in wood throughout.
