Virginia Agbayani (b. 1928) is a pioneering Filipino modernist painter and educator. She became the first Filipino woman to be appointed as a full professor at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts, where she taught for over three decades. Known for her expressive use of color and depictions of everyday Filipino life, Agbayani’s work bridges post-war modernism and humanist realism, earning her recognition as one of the leading figures in Philippine art.
