The Congressional Gold Medal is the oldest, rarest, and highest US award for service, given to those who have made distinguished and lasting contributions to American history. Our client was a pilot among the DUSTOFF crews, where he volunteered to fly over 1,000 unarmed helicopter combat evac missions in Vietnam, saving over 3,000 wounded. Highlights from a life of travel and elegant taste include a Charles II cabinet circa 1600, Gorham and Wallace sterling silver sets, striking vintage bronzes, original artwork, and French antiques. This vintage Chinese jewelry box is crafted from wood with antique brass accents. There are some inlaid elements that have an opalescent effect and the wood finish has warm undertones. The jewelry box has a custom locking/latching mechanism and opens to reveal six interior drawers that are lined with red velvet. Dimensions: 6” H x 10.75” W x 6” D. 

Condition

Fair for age and use. There are signs of wear throughout including finish loss to the wood and some loose hardware. The drawers are difficult to open. See photos for more condition details.

Item pickup is Tuesday, February 17th from 1 - 6pm in Overland, Park, KS 66224. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
