A vintage dark colored oilskin hunting jacket from the brand Australian Outback Collection. Size L.
Created by a New Zealand sailor in 1898, oilskin garments are known as foul-weather gear because an oil mixture is usually applied to the cloth to waterproof it. Edward Le Roy, the inventor of oilskin, used linseed oil on old sailing cloth, but modern-day oilskin is usually comprised of flexible coated PVC fabric. This Australian Outback Collection jacket's exterior fabric is cotton oilskin with 100% leather accents, and it features a 100% cotton interior lining.
