Payments

Pair of 19th-century French gilt-bronze and marble figural candelabra after James (Jean-Jacques) Pradier, cast by Susse Freres, Paris. Each features a classically draped female figure supporting an ornate seven-light candelabrum with six scrolling arms and a removable flame-form center finial revealing an additional candle socket. The figures are based on Pradier's Femme a l'urne and Femme au panier models and are raised on white marble pedestal bases with gilt-bronze trim and applied classical relief plaques. Each figure bears an incised "Pradier" signature and impressed "SUSSE FRES" foundry mark. Dimensions: 28" H x 10.5" D.
