Pair of antique Russian Orthodox icons depicting the Virgin Mary and Child. One icon is larger than the other. Both are painted on wood panels with inscriptions in Cyrillic. Dimensions: 14” H x 12” W x 1” D.
Condition
Both icons show signs of age, including craquelure, paint loss, and wear to the edges and surfaces. The larger icon has some damage to the lower left corner. Overall these are consistent with age and use. See photos for additional condition details.
Available payment options
Item pickup is Friday, May 1st from 11am to 7pm in Kansas City, MO 64105. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
