This Steinway piano was evaluated on 10/15/2025 and appraised for $5500. Notes from the technician: original owner, piano was maintained through the first half of its life, however, it has not been serviced in the last 15 years. The piano has remained in a very stable environment. Regulation including blow distance, lost motion, checking, and let-off could be improved with a half-day service. Tuning stability is good, however piano is currently around 20-50 cents flat. Hammers are original but in good condition for age with below average wear for age. Keys are in adequate condition. Soundboard and bridges in very good condition with no signs of exposure to low humidity or cracking occurring. Strings are original and in good condition for age, one string missing on bichord of D#2, would need replacement. Clicking sounds occurring on D5, hammer return spring looks slightly bent, but sound could also be from loose hammer head or hammer butt. Exterior matte finish is in decent condition with some scuffs present. Piano tuning + service is needed to bring the piano up to pitch and fine tune, and correct the clicking D5. Bass string replacement is needed for D#2. Includes bench (no storage) and a Seth Thomas metronome. Dimensions: 46.5" H x 58.5" W x 25" D. ***Please note: PROFESSIONAL MOVERS REQUIRED due to size and weight***
Appears very good for age and use. Please see evaluation notes from piano service. The piano will need to be professionally moved and tuned. See photos for more condition details.
