Nick Vaccaro
(Kansas, 1931-2002)
This set of three original artworks by Nick Vaccaro are mixed media collages on paper. They are signed “Vaccaro"; two are dated 1998, one is dated 1999. Dimensions: Approximately 26" high x 20" wide; 32" high x 21.5" wide. One of the three is framed behind glass in a simple gold metal frame. Framed dimensions: 25" high x 19" wide x 1" deep.
Nick Vaccaro was a professor and chairman of the drawing and painting department at the University of Kansas. As an artist, Vaccaro was the recipient of purchase awards from the San Francisco Museum of Art (1958), the Dallas Museum of Fine Art (1961), and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Art, and his work has additionally been exhibited in the Nelson Gallery of Art, Oklahoma Arts Center, Wichita Art Museum, and Dallas Museum for Contemporary Arts.
Condition
Fair to good condition for age. Some minor markings to paper and signs of push pin holes. Some smudging. See pictures.
