Launched in 1981 and composed by master perfumer Jean-Jacques Diener, Must de Cartier was the luxury jewelry house's very first fragrance. It became legendary for completely subverting traditional olfactory rules by creating the first true “Green Oriental" fragrance. It is famous for its massive, complex formula that seamlessly blends deep, warm resinous materials with bracingly sharp green notes. The distinctive sleek flacon with the dark, smoky amber-toned glass and the rich burgundy-and-gold cap was styled to closely mirror Cartier’s famous luxury gas lighters from their iconic "Les Must de Cartier" collection.
