The Congressional Gold Medal is the oldest, rarest, and highest US award for service, given to those who have made distinguished and lasting contributions to American history. Our client was a pilot among the DUSTOFF crews, where he volunteered to fly over 1,000 unarmed helicopter combat evac missions in Vietnam, saving over 3,000 wounded. Highlights from a life of travel and elegant taste include a Charles II cabinet circa 1600, Gorham and Wallace sterling silver sets, striking vintage bronzes, original artwork, and French antiques. Two Luigi Fabris Italy porcelain figurines depicting ladies in ornate dresses. One Heirlooms of Tomorrow (made in USA) laced porcelain figurine in a pink dress. One figurine is on an oval base with her suitor and featuring floral accents. This is numbered 444a. Details are hand-painted. The other Fabris lady is putting flowers in her hair and the base is numbered 414. The final piece with the pink dress and bonnet is the US-made figure and is numbered 35. Very delicate. Dimensions widest piece: 10” W; tallest piece: 8.25” H.

Condition

Good, visible wear consistent with average use. Some damage to lace in the front and on the back on the solo Fabris figurine. A couple flower stems broken off on the backside of the lady and suitor. Varied damage to the pink and blue lace on the final figurine. See photos for more condition details.

Item pickup is Tuesday, February 17th from 1 - 6pm in Overland, Park, KS 66224. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
