Offered here is a beautifully illustrated set of two mid-century folios by renowned Mexican artist, designer, and folklorist Ramón Valdiosera, published by Editorial Fischgrund in Mexico City circa 1949. These portfolio-style books feature colorful plates and culturally rich narratives celebrating Mexican heritage.


Mexican Native Costumes (1949)

  • 12 full-color plates depicting traditional Mexican indigenous attire

  • Introduction by Salvador Echeverría, translated by Ruth Poyo

Condition

Both folios show moderate wear to outer covers with some foxing and light staining. Interior plates are complete and in good vintage condition. See pictures.

Item pickup is Wednesday, June 4th from 1-7pm in Kansas City, MO. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice.
