This dining set by Karges Furniture exemplifies the refinement and artisanal quality for which the company has been renowned since 1886. Designed in the French tradition with strong Louis XV Rococo revival influences, each piece features graceful curves and intricate carvings. The dining table is constructed from solid hardwood with a warm medium-brown, hand-rubbed finish that highlights the natural grain. The rectangular top has subtly serpentine edges and a molded profile, with a beautifully matched veneer surface in a book-matched grain pattern. Table dimensions: 30” H x 42” W x 64” L, (104.25” L with both 20” leaves inserted). The dining chairs are matching solid hardwood frames with a shaped and framed upholstered back, featuring a light cream fabric with a subtle woven medallion pattern and welt cord trim. Armchair dimensions: 41.5” H x 24” W x 22” D; Seat: 19” H x 20” W x 18” D. Side chair dimensions: 40” H x 21” W x 21” D; Seat: 19” H.
Condition
Very good with light signs of wear. There are a few minor scratches on the top and an area of veneer checking. Chair dust covers underneath seats show signs of previous exposure to moisture. See photos for more details.
Available payment options
Item pickup is Tuesday, August 19th from 3pm - 7pm in Leawood, KS. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
