Harry Hoehn (1918–1974) was an American painter, printmaker, designer, teacher, and author whose work sits at the intersection of abstraction and expressive printmaking. He studied at the Art Students League and Mexico’s Universidad de San Miguel before advancing his print practice at Atelier 17, which he would later co-direct. In 1953 his work appeared in the landmark Young American Printmakers exhibition at MoMA. Hoehn’s practice includes etchings, aquatints, and experimental processes. His work is held by major institutions, including the National Gallery of Art.
