Group of five Morgan Dollar coins, including one 1883-O, one 1886-O, one 1888-O, and two 1897-O. Struck by the United States Mint from 1878–1904 and again in 1921, these historic silver dollars were designed by engraver George T. Morgan. Each coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper with an approximate actual silver weight (ASW) of 0.7734 troy ounces per coin, for a total approximate silver weight of 3.867 troy ounces (ozt) of pure silver.
