An Antique carved solid oak or walnut dining table that is one part of a full dining set. Some of the unique features include two attached expanding leafs, which make the table longer only, and, ornate hand-carved foliage and floral motifs covering most viewable areas. 

This substantial piece of furniture from the Carolean or Restoration Era (1606-1688) highlighting the shifting from Puritan influence to an opulent Baroque aesthetic, and ushers in the return of King Charles II and the monarchy.

The legend goes that around 1942, the clients grandmother went to an estate sale of Isabella Stewart Gardner’s personal home collection. Gardner was an American art collector, philanthropist, and patron of the arts, and founder of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts. Notoriously, in the 1990’s, there was a robbery, and the mystery remains unsolved.
