A finely produced tribute to the life and work of master marbler Christopher Weimann, this volume presents over 90 illustrations (38 in color), personal reflections, and scholarly essays. Most notably, it includes 8 1/2 original marbled paper samples made by Weimann himself, bound into the volume. Printed on high-quality, chlorine-free Phoenix Imperial paper, this edition reflects the artistry it celebrates.
The book is part of a limited regular edition of 400 hand-numbered copies (this copy is #124), and it bears the signature of Ingrid Weimann on the acknowledgments page. The marbled paper on the title page was created for a 1988 UCLA lecture.
Condition
Like new. Clean and unmarked pages. Tight binding. All original marbled paper samples appear present and well-preserved. Clear dust jacket shows light handling wear. Signature of Ingrid Weimann included. See pictures.
