Small Chinese lacquered wooden footstool or low table, inlaid with abalone. The top is extensively inlaid with the image of a rooster, hen, and three chicks in a field grasses and flowers.

Condition
The stool is in fair condition with some areas around the edges where the lacquer has been chipped. Missing one small pad foot, causing the piece to rock. There are several areas on the top and sides where the thin layer of inlaid abalone has been rubbed off.
