Silver coin from the Qing Dynasty, issued by Kiangnan (Jiangnan) Province, China. The obverse features a coiled imperial dragon surrounded by the English legend "KIANG NAN PROVINCE – 7 MACE AND 2 CANDAREENS." The reverse displays Chinese characters identifying the province and denomination. These dragon dollars were struck in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and circulated widely in international trade. The denomination of 7 mace 2 candareens corresponds to the standard Chinese silver dollar weight of approximately 26.8 grams.
