Quilted art piece featuring a scene of a heron in a marsh at sundown, made by local textile fiber artist Cheri Rabourn. Includes a wooden bracket for hanging.

A note from the artist: "I love creating unusual-shaped fiber art quilts, adding dimension and interest with the use of fabric textures, beads, fibers, crystals, and found objects. I am inspired by the world around me or a phrase that catches my imagination. The finishing touches for me are the embellishments I use to enhance my art quilts." Cheri's work is featured in private collections throughout the USA and in Japan and has been accepted in numerous special exhibits and shows throughout the country, where she has won several awards.  She currently teaches fiber art classes in the Kansas City area. This piece was generously donated by a ScrapsKC volunteer, Jan Davidson.
