This lot includes as set of 12 Cauldon China cabinet plates, made in England and retailed by Tiffany & Co., New York in the early 20th century (c. 1910–1925). The plates feature a scalloped rim with heavy gilt trim, surrounding a wide border decorated with intricate raised gilt lattice and foliate scrollwork radiating inward like sunbursts. At the center is a polychrome floral medallion with hand-painted roses, pansies, and other blossoms in shades of pink, yellow, purple, and blue, set against a cream ground. Each hand-painted center has a different floral motif.
Excellent for age and use with minimal signs of wear. See photos for more details.
