This elegant late 19th to early 20th century antique oak secretary desk with bookcase is beautifully crafted in richly grained tiger oak. This versatile piece combines function and display with distinctive period styling. It features a tall beveled glass-front bookcase with interior shelving, a drop-front writing desk with storage compartments, two drawers accented with original cast brass pulls, and a door with storage behind. It features decorative hand-carved scrollwork and applied motifs throughout. Dimensions: 69” H x 42” W x 13.5” D; Desk surface when open: 28” H x 21” W x 27.75” D
Very good for age and use with light signs of wear. There is staining on the interior shelves, a watermark on the lower shelf behind the glass door, and light staining in one of the drawers. Bottom right door needs a hinge adjustment to stay closed. There are newer screws holding the hinge. No key. See photos for more details.
