This is a gouache painting of the RMS Otway, a British ocean liner operated by the Orient Line. Launched in 1909, she served both civilian and military purposes and was sunk by a German submarine in 1917 during World War I. It is framed in a bird’s-eye maple veneer frame. Dimensions: 17.75” H x 27” W.
Condition
The painting is very good for age and use and the frame is poor with visible wear. The maple veneer needs to be repaired/replaced in several areas. See photos for more details.

Item pickup is Thursday, September 25th from 3 - 7pm in Kansas City, MO 64105. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
