An antique Chinese apothecary chest featuring 12 small drawers, each with original hand-painted Chinese calligraphy labels identifying herbal medicines. Finished in red lacquer with warm patina from age and use, the chest retains its blackened metal pulls. These medicine chests were used by herbalists and pharmacists to store dried herbs, roots, and remedies. Today, they make excellent decorative storage, display pieces, or conversation antiques for home or shop use.Dimensions: 19.5" H x 16" W x 10" D.

Item pickup is Wednesday, October 8th from 3pm-7pm in downtown Kansas City, MO (64105). Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice. Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the delivery link emailed with their invoice.
