This antique table features a plank seam rectangular top, supported by a deep, sturdy perimeter wood apron. It features four straight legs that taper down toward the feet. The corner joints are reinforced with exposed, round wooden dowels/pins driven directly through the apron sides. Dimensions: 31.5” H x 43.5” W x 21.25” D. From the homeowner: This antique table came from the Fredericksburg Ferry. The ferry was established in 1886 by John Plattner to help local farmers transport goods across the Gasconade River to his nearby mill in the unincorporated community of Stolpe in Gasconade County, Missouri. Over its long history, the ferry evolved from manual oars to a cable system, an outboard motor, and finally a steel barge driven by an electric motor.
