Four 19th century illustrated volumes of Charles Dickens, including David Copperfield, The Old Curiosity Shop, Christmas Books (inc. A Christmas Carol), and Sketches by Boz. Matching half calf binding over marbled boards, with all edges marbled. Published by Chapman and Hall (London). The only volume with a stated publishing date is Sketches by Boz, dated 1874. All four volumes are inscribed "J.W. Stokes / Pengwern" and dated in pen, 1884. All volumes 8 1/2" x 6".

The leather binding is worn, but all spines and covers are intact. Bumped corners. Text blocks are in very good condition, noting only scattered spots, mostly limited to the front flyleaves.
