This is a 100,000 Gold Yuan (金圓券) banknote issued by The Central Bank of China in 1949. The front features a portrait of Chiang Kai-shek, while the reverse depicts a river scene with a large bridge. The note was part of the Gold Yuan currency reform introduced during the Chinese Civil War to combat hyperinflation. Despite the reform, inflation continued, and these high-denomination notes quickly became obsolete, making them popular collectibles today.

Item pickup is Friday, June 19th from 1pm to 6pm in Overland Park, KS 66213. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time.
