1880 Whiting "Japanese" Sterling silver flatware set. Each handle depicts birds in grasses and bamboo climbing the necks of each utensil. The ice cream spoons depict birds in flight with gold washed bowl and pastry lifter is intricately etched. All pieces are marked "Whiting Sterling". Set includes; three salad forks, 16 dinner forks, 12 tea spoons, four tablespoons, 12 soup spoons, 12 gilt bowl ice cream spoons, one sugar sifter, one tart lifter, one mustard ladle, one condiment ladle and one sauce ladle. Total weight 80.83 ozt Dinner fork: 7.5" H x 1" W Soup Spoon: 8" H x 1.75" W Pastry lifter: 9" H x 2.5" W
